Gary Peer has been a fixture of Melbourne real estate since 1986 – a name built on persistence, passion and a people-first approach.

From his early days working in a local milk bar and market to co-founding one of the city’s most recognisable agencies, Gary’s always believed in doing the hard yards. And doing them well.

Warm, witty and driven, Gary brings energy and empathy to every interaction – whether advising a client, calling an auction or supporting his team. He’s collaborative, a little obsessive (in the best way), and he genuinely cares about helping others succeed. Especially his team.

The same team whose journey began in the most modern of settings: a tiny office shared by Gary, his best mate and co-founder Phillip Kingston and a part-time receptionist – which was all they could afford at the time. Fast-forward to today, and Gary now leads a seven-office network of 150+ team members who consistently list and sell more properties in their core market than almost all their competitors combined.

But he still shares an office with Phillip. And their respectful and enduring bond continues to anchor the business nearly four decades on.
At the heart of it all? Family. Gary’s son Daniel is now a Partner in the business. And his wife Hana and daughter Nina have also each played meaningful roles over the years. It’s no wonder real estate has always been more than a job for Gary. It’s personal.

Outside of work, Gary is all about the simple joys: heading out to the golf course, playing bridge, cheering on Carlton, dining at new restaurants and spending time with his family and friends – ideally over good food and plenty of laughs.
